Chupacabras sighting in Puerto Rico

Underneath the arms I could see some fleshy membranes, which joined the arms with the torso of the animal. Each hand had three fingers and between its fingers, I saw some membranes (webbing), the way ducks have them. The fingers had long sharp claws. The head was oval, and had large eyes, elongated to the sides, and slanted (oblique and oriental type) of an intense bright orange-red color. The nose was hardly noticeable, and the mouth was small.
"It was a hairy thing, dark, almost black, and had strong legs, skinny on the lower part. I could not see its feet well, but I noticed that it also had three toes with claws, and also had the webbing between them.
"That was a fantastic thing, very ugly, horrible looking... and it just stood there, staring at us. I wanted to exit the vehicle to take a better look, and Carlitos was screaming 'Let's get outta here! No let's go! Let's go!' But I said 'No wait, let me see what this is', and I opened the door to see if I could approach it a little.
"It took out a long sharp thing out of its mouth":
"I got out and when I moved to get closer I noticed that it made some unusual slow movements, almost mechanical. I asked myself, 'Oh my God, could this be a robot?' Because that’s how it looked like, with the slow movements. And it made the same movements I was making. When I turned my head to the side to take a better look, it made the same movements with its head, but slow, as if searching for me, I don’t know, like examining me. I decided to approach it again, and then it took out a long sharp thing out of its mouth three times. Very fast! It took it out and put it back inside the mouth very quickly. That thing had to be over a foot and a half long. That's when I thought 'Hmm, this is not for me', and then I returned to the vehicle, locked the door and raised the glass. But I kept watching.
"It left like a bullet":
"Carlitos was very scared, and he kept yelling at me to leave from there, but I wanted to observe that thing well. That’s when I noticed that it had "something" running down its back from the top of the head. It was like a crest composed of a few things... I could not see well what they were, because all the time I saw the creature from the front only. I did not see its side or its back, and the stuff on its head illuminated and changed colors alternately. I could see it change to yellow, red and green... a rather strange thing. At the moment, when those things on its head shone, they began to alternate more colors, which was when suddenly, the thing scrambled upward and disappeared. It was flying, but did not flap like a bird, no sir. It just simply left like a bullet... and shot upward. In fact, we felt the branches of the trees above us shaking all around as it passed nearby.
"When that thing left, we left immediately, and I don’t deny it, I was a little scared, because it was very ugly, a very unusual thing. I took Carlitos home and had to take him all the way up, in Palmasola, because for anything in the world wanted to be left alone at the entrance downstairs. I had to take him to the entrance door of his house because he was so nervous and scared.
"I went home and could not sleep that night. I kept the image of that thing in my mind. I could not get that out of my mind, because it shocked me. It is because one is not accustomed to seeing those things, something that supposedly cannot exist. I did not tell my wife about what had happened until two days later, when I felt more confident and calmed.

I have traveled extensively, been to the Amazon, to places where there are many species of animals, and that simply does not exist here. "How ironic! I was one who did not believe that such things existed. I listened to other people who claimed to have seen them, and I won't say that I didn't believe them, but I thought what they saw must have been a monkey, a macaque or another animal that is not known on the island, and so they said that it was weird. But now I saw it and I know what is happening is real and that these creatures do exist.
Since he is a detective and a minister of a church, his opinion was asked about those religious people who have expressed their beliefs that they are diabolic beings from hell. He answered:
"I do not accept the idea of us being the only life in the universe. That would limit God's creative work. For me, these creatures are not from here. If they are extraterrestrials, that I do not know. I know this may sound like a contradiction, but since I have no conclusive evidence to say anything categorically, I'm not going to say it.
