Photo of the light beam on the pyramid of Kukulkan: A message from Gods?

Summary:

When Hector Siliezar visited the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza with his wife and daughters in 2009, he snapped three photographs with his cellphone camera (iPhone) of the Kukulkan pyramid (also known as El Castillo), a pyramid that once served as a sacred temple to the Mayan god Kukulkan. A thunderstorm was brewing near the temple, and Siliezar was trying to capture lightning dramatically over the ruins.

In the first two images, dark clouds loom above the pyramid, but nothing is amiss. However, in the third photo, a powerful beam of light appears to shoot up from the pyramid toward the heavens, and a thunderbolt flashes in the background. Was the light beam a sign from the gods — a warning about Dec. 21, 2012, the date that marks the end of the Mayan calendar cycle, and when some people fear the world will end? Or is it simply the result of an iPhone glitch? (See photo)

Hector Siliezar and Glenda Hernandez were born in El Salvador, but Hector moved to Los Angeles, California (USA), in 1986 to sell cars. Glenda joined Hector as a resident, became a bank teller, and gave birth to their daughters. The couple married in 2006.

The story according to the witnesses:

On July 24, 2009, Hector Siliezar, his wife, Glenda Hernandez, and two daughters, Stephanie (then 9) and Destiny (then 5) were on vacation in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, on a one-day tour of Chichen Itza with a hotel guide. Their tour included the famous Maya Kukulkan pyramid. At approximately 2:00 pm (14:00 hrs.), thunder boomed, lightning flashed and raindrops started to fall. The storm excited Hector about getting a photo on his Apple iPhone of lightning next to the pyramid.

He couldn’t get a picture of the pyramid with the lightning on the first attempt. On his second attempt, he wanted take a picture of his two daughters with the pyramid in the background when the lightning appears. His daughters, excited, ran in front of the camera, but again, on his second attempt, the lightning did not appear in the photo. He decided to wait a while for a lightning to appear before taking a third photo of the Kukulkan pyramid with his daughters in the foreground.

When he checked the third photo on his iPhone screen to see if he snapped a picture with the lightning in the background, he was surprised to see a powerful beam of light shooting up from the top of the pyramid toward the heavens, as if it were a laser beam, and a thunderbolt flashing in the background. He exclaimed to his wife, ‘Wow, look at this! What is this?’ He excitedly stated, ‘Well, what could that be?’ Then he ran to show it to about six or seven tourists that were nearby. Then on the tour bus, he passed the iPhone around for everyone onboard to see. No one, not even the tour guide, had ever seen anything like it before.

One of the quality witnesses, who confirmed that he was indeed at Chichen Itza when the photograph was taken, was the Mexican television host, René Franco. He was at Chichen Itza when the impressive photograph was shown to him shortly after being taken. In his television show, Franco told Jaime Maussan (a famous Mexican ufologist) that Hector Siliezar approached him and said, "Listen, do you come out on television? Franco replied, "Yes." Then Siliezar said, "Look at this photograph," and showed him the iPhone (See the video below with English subtitles).

Siliezar, who recently shared his photographs with occult investigators, stated that he and his family didn't see the light beam in person; it appeared only on camera. "It was amazing!" he said.

According to Jonathon Hill, a research technician and mission planner at the Mars Space Flight Facility at Arizona State University, which operates many of the cameras used during NASA's Mars missions, it is almost definitely the latter. Hill works with images of the Martian surface taken by rovers and satellites, as well as data from Earth-orbiting NASA instruments, and is fully versed in the wide range of potential image artifacts and equipment errors.

Hill said, "It really is an awesome image!"

Conclusion:

This photo has surfaced on several Mayan doomsday discussion forums and has impressed scholars that study the Mayan calendar. Could this be a sign by the Mayan god Kukulkan (the Feathered Serpent) that his calendar really marks the end of the world on December 21, 2012? Could a phenomenon like this occur by coincidence in the ancient Maya city of Chichen Itza when there has been much talk about an apocalyptic day based on the Mayan calendar? Well, that fateful date is near and all we can do is wait and see (or die).

I don't know what to make of this beam of light that is on top of the pyramid.
I do know that Jaime Maussan, loves to exaggerate! He believe's mostly anything that people show to him or tell him without trying to investigate it properly. He does it all for his TV show in Mexico. He doesn't care about the facts. Ratings are what counts for him. Anyway, it is a very interesting story and Photo.

Lajas

Although there have been many unexplained sightings in the town of Lajas, the situation there has been hyped by the amount of lies and exaggeration by a group of so-called, "ufologists" who ignore other areas of Puerto Rico to promote tourism in Lajas. That was evident when my wife and my daughter confronted a terrifying experience in the town of Aguada with extraterrestrials and that group of charlatans refused our plea for help. Of course, if it happened in Lajas they would have jumped on the opportunity for fame and tourism for that town. Those hoaxes and lies were approved and sanctioned by the then mayor of that town who named route 303 "The extraterrestrial route". The idea of building an "UFOport" (ovnipuerto), “la llorona sightings" and the biggest hoax of them all, "that a UFO crashed there" all this could only be found in a science fiction novel.

The dancing alien

About me

Ufologist, criminal investigator, musician, artist and writer.

I worked 20 years for the New York City Department of Correction. First as a Correction Officer for 4 years, Captain for 12 years, and as a Deputy Warden for 4 years. As a law enforcement officer and supervisor, I have conducted countless of criminal investigations, some for unimaginable allegations.

On June of 2005, after my retirement, I moved to Puerto Rico with my family where my wife and my daughter faced extraordinary experiences with extraterrestrials. These alien encounters, subsequent abductions of my wife and the lack of help from so-called, "ufologists" here on the island, prompted me to become involved in the field of ufology and in the need to help others who have had similar experiences.
