A UFO spotted over a U.S. air force base in Puerto Rico during the Cuban Missile Crisis

Introduction:

On October 14, 1962, a United States Air Force U-2 plane on a photoreconnaissance mission captured photographic proof of Soviet nuclear missile bases under construction in Cuba. American reaction was quick to reject any Soviet nuclear missiles 90 miles away from the U.S. coastline.

Just when U.S. preparations were on its way at Ramey Air Force Base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to invade Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis, a UFO was spotted over the airbase. Several aviators witnessed this, and one of them wrote the following firsthand account of the incident:

The story as recounted by the witness:

"During the Cuban Missile Crisis, our B-52′s, KC 135′s, and U2 planes formed a net around Cuba in the air, and the navy controlled the seas. Transport troop carriers were parked on the taxiway ready for drop on missile sites in Cuba.

"At 5:30 a.m., while waiting for relief on the taxiway, I noticed off in the distance over the Caribbean Sea a usual cloud, with flashing lights within it. My canine flight and I watched and radioed each other to try to figure out what it was, because the trajectory of the cloud was headed towards the no fly zone. The relief arrived, and we were picked up and driven across the active runway, still watching the object headed towards the parked B-52′s alert area.

"When we arrived at the armory within the restricted area, the cloud was there. It was drifting thirty feet above the ground, approximately 6 feet thick and 30 ft. in diameter. Dark swirls of clouds and lights swirled around the object. The only thing that was visible were the lights spinning inside the dark swirling cloud like a carousel. Green, orange, yellow and blue. Our entire alert crew came out of the mole hole to watch. There were many mechanics, other flight crews and airmen observing as well. The object passed us and headed towards the U2 hanger, which was strictly off limits. My only concern was that nobody shot at whatever this object was. We all had our firearms, standing there watching it until it disappeared.

"After the incident, I went off duty for 3 days leave. Nobody told me not to talk about it. The only person I told was my mother. After the Ramey Air force Base was decommissioned, I told my sons."

I was stationed at Ramey AFB in the security police sqn.this happeened in late 1961. Myself and about six other air policeman were aasigned to the B52 alert sector on the midnight tour of duty . there was also a roving strike team in our area with a s/sgt and two other air policeman. we were all standing around the coffee truck when some said look at that. we all looked up.ther was a bright round light moving randomly over the alert area. it was not a aircraft because it made right angles and it stopped then moved in a straight line then it would circle. the Sgt called it in to the security control center. they in turn call the control tower to find out if anything was in the area . the Tower said no ,but it sees the object and they were also watching it . we all watched the oject until sunrise . I never heard anyting more about the incident. but I know that it was not something nornal. Also there was no sound coming from the object

Lajas

Although there have been many unexplained sightings in the town of Lajas, the situation there has been hyped by the amount of lies and exaggeration by a group of so-called, "ufologists" who ignore other areas of Puerto Rico to promote tourism in Lajas. That was evident when my wife and my daughter confronted a terrifying experience in the town of Aguada with extraterrestrials and that group of charlatans refused our plea for help. Of course, if it happened in Lajas they would have jumped on the opportunity for fame and tourism for that town. Those hoaxes and lies were approved and sanctioned by the then mayor of that town who named route 303 "The extraterrestrial route". The idea of building an "UFOport" (ovnipuerto), “la llorona sightings" and the biggest hoax of them all, "that a UFO crashed there" all this could only be found in a science fiction novel.

The dancing alien

About me

Ufologist, criminal investigator, musician, artist and writer.

I worked 20 years for the New York City Department of Correction. First as a Correction Officer for 4 years, Captain for 12 years, and as a Deputy Warden for 4 years. As a law enforcement officer and supervisor, I have conducted countless of criminal investigations, some for unimaginable allegations.

On June of 2005, after my retirement, I moved to Puerto Rico with my family where my wife and my daughter faced extraordinary experiences with extraterrestrials. These alien encounters, subsequent abductions of my wife and the lack of help from so-called, "ufologists" here on the island, prompted me to become involved in the field of ufology and in the need to help others who have had similar experiences.
